The US Department of Labor (DOL) is the federal agency that helps to foster and promote the welfare of job seekers, wage earners and retirees of the USA.  The DOL administers a variety of Federal labor laws including those that guarantee workers’ rights to safe and healthy work environment; minimum wages and overtime pay; freedom from employment discrimination; unemployment insurance; and other income support.
